Have had the idea for this painting and another for awhile and had fun painting the white horse against the dark trees with the hounds sprinkled behind, just flashes of light following.

Snow geese in the corn

This is part of a series of paintings from images and thoughts of last years. Couldn't do them all then, will do them as I can from time to time. Not for any reason but for me, I'll post them from time to time. Only that one winter have I seen snow geese on the fields around here, and watching a cloud of them drop down to land and them disappear among the corn stalks was fascinating.
